The role of Quality Assurance Engineer is crucial in ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained throughout a project's lifecycle.
This position requires a strong understanding of quality management principles and practices, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
The successful candidate will lead quality audits and activities, review and report on engineering, construction, and procurement documents, and assist in preparing quality procedures and plans.
Additionally, they will participate in monitoring the implementation of the project quality program, including People Based Quality (PBQ), Lessons Learned, Close Loop Corrective Actions, and Continuous Improvement.
A bachelor's degree and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience are required for this position.
The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge in engineering, environmental science, procurement, construction, testing, operations, or decommissioning practices, as well as proficiency in oral and written communications, providing direction and on-the-job training to assigned personnel, and using applicable computer programs.
Six Sigma certification is an advantage, but not mandatory. The ability to identify key performance quality metrics and set targets for maintaining a state of compliance while identifying areas for improvement is also essential.
