The Opportunity This role will suit someone who enjoys being hands on so that they don’t lose their technical accounting skills whilst building key relationships across the group with Senior Executives. You will have a team of 6 reporting to you who look after accounts processing, payroll and systems. The Role Key responsibilities: Deliver accurate financial reporting and transactional services across the organisation Prepare monthly reports and Board packs, providing insightful analysis for decision-making Lead annual financial statements, budgets, forecasts and long-term planning Oversee finance operations, controls, audits, compliance and insurance Improve systems, processes and tools to support efficient financial management Manage governance, risk and supplier processes to safeguard the organisation Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing finance team Drive improvements in processes, controls and team culture The Ideal Person You are a personable and hands-on finance professional with strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of an organisation, from operational teams through to senior leadership and the Board. Technically strong and detail orientated, you are comfortable remaining close to the day-to-day operations while also improving processes, implementing practical templates and reviewing the work of others. You enjoy mentoring staff and helping lift capability within the team. You have strong people skills and are confident managing up, working closely with a CFO and ensuring the right information is delivered when it is needed. A CA or CPA is preferred but not essential.
