Meals on Wheels Rockhampton is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Qualified Chef to join our dedicated team.
This hands-on role is essential to delivering nutritious and exciting meals to approximately 480 clients across the local community.
We pride ourselves on the quality of food we deliver and below is a sample of a daily menu:
Strawberry, Rhubarb and Elderflower Smoothie
Mulligatawny Soup
Pork Cutlet with Mustard and Garlic Sauce
Orange Blossom Creme Brulee with Chocolate Jelly
We are offering a permanent position:
Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week (6.30am – 1.30pm)
Applicants must have the following:
Preparation and cooking of high-quality, nutritious meals
Experience as a qualified Chef and ability to follow standardised recipes
Strong understanding of Food Safety Requirements
Ability to maintain a clean kitchen environment
Work in a fast-paced and time-sensitive kitchen environment
Good communication, attitude and teamwork skills
Hardworking and reliable
Work closely with Kitchen Supervisor (Head Chef), Manager and Volunteers
Willing to undergo and successfully complete a police check
