Based in our Osborne Park office, you will be expected to work on our projects within the Perth metro area.Your role as Painter / Specialist Applicator will include the following responsibilities:-Preparing work areas and surfaces, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming as required.
-Assisting in the installation and application of specialised coatings, protective finishes, and remediation products.
-Applying and finishing paint, coatings, acoustic, and insulating materials to meet project specifications and industry standards.
-Operating and maintaining painting equipment, including spray guns, rollers, and brushes, ensuring proper care and storage.
-Ensuring work areas, tools, and equipment are cleaned and maintained to a high standard.
-Following proper safety procedures and industry best practices to ensure high-quality applications.
-Actively contributing to toolbox meetings and pre-start discussions, ensuring safety and efficiency in daily operations.
-Identifying, reporting, and rectifying potential hazards, ensuring compliance with workplace safety regulations.About YouTo be successful in this role you will possess the following attributes:-Minimum of 1-year experience in a similar role, preferably in painting, protective coatings, or specialist applications within the construction or industrial sector.
-Ability to work with spray guns, rollers, and brushes, ensuring a high-quality finish.
-Experience with protective coatings & concrete repair – Definite advantage.
-Experience in plastering and rendering – Definite advantage.
-Hands-on experience in worksite labouring duties and manual tasks.
-Knowledge of different painting techniques, surface preparation methods, and application of protective coatings.
-Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently.
-Understanding of workplace health & safety regulations related to painting and coatings.
-Strong attention to detail, ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and deliver projects on time.
-Being proactive, reliable, and punctual, with a strong work ethic and commitment to safety and quality.
-Ability to pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol (D&A) test.
-Ability to represent the company in a professional and polite manner.
