About Us
Ontier Developments is a growing residential development firm focused on creating timeless, high-quality homes with exceptional attention to detail. We design and build single-family and multi-family projects that blend functionality, beauty, and craftsmanship. As we expand, we are looking for a unique hybrid professional who can manage our financial operations while contributing directly to our design vision.
Position Overview
We are seeking an individual who is both a qualified Accountant (CA, CPA, or equivalent) and an experienced Interior Designer. This rare dual-role position is ideal for someone who loves both numbers and creativity—someone who can oversee financial health while actively participating in design decisions for residential projects.
You will be responsible for full-cycle accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting, while also leading interior design selections, floorplan input, finish specifications, and ensuring that every home reflects our signature elevated aesthetic.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee full-cycle accounting, including AP, AR, payroll coordination, and general ledger management.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Manage cash flow, job costing, forecasting, and budget tracking for development projects.
Develop and maintain project budgets, ensuring accuracy and cost control throughout the build process.
Coordinate with external accountants, lenders, and financial partners.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
Implement and maintain efficient financial systems, processes, and internal controls.
Analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making.
Interior Design & Project Development (Approx. 50%)
Lead interior design concepts for residential projects, from initial mood boards to final execution.
Select finishes, materials, fixtures, flooring, cabinetry, lighting, hardware, and color palettes.
Collaborate with architects, draftspeople, and construction teams to ensure design intent is carried through.
Create design packages, specification books, and client or builder presentations.
Review floorplans and provide design-based recommendations to maximize functionality and aesthetics.
Conduct site visits to oversee installation quality and design implementation.
Maintain vendor relationships and source materials aligned with budget and timeline.
Stay current on design trends, materials, sustainability practices, and product innovations.

Required
Proven experience in an accounting or finance role, ideally within real estate, construction, or development.
Minimum 3–5 years of combined professional experience across both accounting and design.

Demonstrated experience in residential design—portfolio required.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
