About the Role
Caloundra Private Day Hospital are seeking experienced Perioperative Registered Nurses to join us in our newly renovated day surgery, providing high quality care to our patients within Anaesthetics, Recovery and Theatre (Scrub/scout).
Specialty services provided in the day surgery include: Endoscopy, Ophthalmology and Oculoplasty.
Reporting to the Day Surgery Nurse Unit Manager, your duties and responsibilities will involve, but are not limited to;
* Maintaining a high level of nursing care to all patients within the unit;
* Assessing, planning, coordinating, and evaluating the care delivery needs of patients; and
* Monitoring the condition of patients during procedures and reporting changes to relevant manager and Anaesthetist / Surgeon / Physician.

Your understanding of scope of practice and positive attitude will enable you to work effectively alongside our team of professionals and independently as required. In addition, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment with the ability to care for our patients in line with our Ramsay core values.
Essential:
* Current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
* Minimum 2 years relevant nursing experience in an acute setting (including surgical) / perioperative environment i.e. anaesthetics, PACU and theatre is desirable.
* Any post graduate perioperative qualifications will be well regarded.
* Excellent understanding of infection control principles.
* Willing to work in a cohesive and caring team.
Remuneration: On offer is a base hourly rate ranging from $ $54.01+ superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (QLD RN/Midwife Level 1 gr2-gr8).
