Senior Technical Officer - Research and Development
This is a full-time opportunity to work in a leading research laboratory facility.
Job Description:
* Design, programme and manufacture parts with precision fits and tolerances.
* Assemble, install and adjust experimental apparatus and associated instrumentation.
Key responsibilities include assessing, analysing, repairing and replacing deficiencies to make improvements to complex equipment. You will also develop new equipment and their accessories to required specifications in a timely manner enabling successful completion of research programs.
Additionally, you will operate within and maintain established safe systems & procedures, autonomously monitor operation & maintenance of the facility and auxiliary systems, and undertake other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
* Relevant trade or professional qualification with relevant technical experience (more than 5 years).
* Demonstrate experience in computer numerically controlled subtractive programming, simulation and operation and other manufacturing methods.
* Ability to physically assemble complex precision equipment.
* Experience in diagnostics, fault finding and problem solving.
* Ability to work within a technical team to deliver against agreed targets and objectives.
* Experience in the operation & maintenance of fluid systems.
* Ability to eliminate or minimise risk.
Benefits:
The Senior Technical Officer position offers a remuneration package comprising base salary within the range of $92,120 to $99,891 plus 17% superannuation.
