We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic professional to lead our MultiLit team at our brand-new Macquarie Park Literacy Centre.
You will engage closely with parents and allied health professionals as your primary clientele. In addition, you will be part of the company's management team working alongside other Literacy Centre managers, academic consultants and General Manager, Literacy Services.
**Position Objectives**:
Provide managerial oversight to the Macquarie Park Literacy Centre's activities and instructional team
Ensure tutoring standards being delivered reflect the approved MultiLit methodology
Where required, help support MultiLit research, trials and product development
Contribute to the MultiLit management team and provide relevant reporting where required
Liaise with the Clinical Director/Research Fellow regarding matters of technical expertise (program, student performance, support with Tutors program delivery)
Respond to enquiries from parents and professionals.
Ensure the financial stability of the Literacy Centre.
**Skills Required**:
A recognised postgraduate qualification in special education (or in progress).
A recognised qualification in special education, psychology, speech pathology or a related field
Extensive experience working with students in the field of education and/or literacy instruction
Thorough knowledge and experience using the MultiLit program (training to be provided by MultiLit)
Effective stakeholder communication skills (working with MultiLit Tutors and staff, students and parents)
Ability to manage and motivate staff to align staff performance to help achieve the Literacy Centre objectives
Ability to work in a confidential environment
High level computer skills (MS Office) and data base management (CRM, WFM- training to be provided)
Student behaviour management skills as exemplified in the Positive Teaching package (training to be provided by MultiLit)
Experience in conducting educational assessments.
Knowledge and experience in best practice in reading assessment and instruction
Experience working with students with special learning needs.
Experience providing feedback to parents, teachers and students.
A current driver's licence.
