Long‐Term Contract
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Agent to support the delivery of major highways and civil infrastructure works across Suffolk. Due to increasing project demand and continued investment in infrastructure improvements, this role offers long‐term contract stability and the chance to take ownership of key highways schemes from planning through to delivery.
You will play a vital role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme, and within budget while maintaining high HSEQ standards throughout.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and supervise highways and civil engineering schemes on‐site.
* Coordinate labour, materials, plant, and subcontractor resources effectively.
* Ensure Construction Phase Plans, RAMS, and safe systems of work are fully implemented.
* Liaise with stakeholders including local authorities, designers, network managers, and community representatives.
* Monitor project progress, programme delivery, and commercial performance.
* Maintain accurate site records, diaries, resource allocations, and as‐built information.
* Support construction planning, phasing, buildability reviews, and traffic management planning.
* Work collaboratively with supply chain partners and project teams.
* Contribute to value engineering and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Ensure full compliance with HSEQ procedures and reporting requirements.
Requirements
* SMSTS or IOSH certification.
* Valid CSCS card.
* Experience delivering highways or civil infrastructure projects.
* Strong understanding of site safety, programme management, and project delivery.
* Experience managing subcontractors, site resources, and project costs.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Full UK driving licence.
* HNC or Degree in Civil Engineering desirable but not essential.
