Chief data architect

Job Overview

As a data engineer in our finance systems, data and innovation team you will design, build, test and support applications and/or underlying infrastructure.

You will work closely with the squad members to ensure outcomes meet customer expectations, and build capability in your squad.

Key Responsibilities:

* Identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies, agreeing appropriate risk responses
* Design and build solutions that meet user/customer needs
* Closely work with key stakeholders and build collaborative partnerships
* Work in teams to build innovative solutions and help guide and support less experienced team members
* Utilise tools and best practices to build, verify and deploy solutions
* Optimise data flows by building robust, fault-tolerant data pipelines

To succeed in this role, you should have experience/exposure to:

* Data management (data mapping, modelling)
* Teradata, Oracle
* Big Data Cloud platforms: AWS/GCP
* Python, R, Automation Anywhere, Alteryx
* Agile ways of working at scale
* Innovation and problem solving skills
