We're looking for a Supplier Innovation Lead
to join our Sustainable Procurement & Innovation team and help shape the future of how Visy partners with suppliers. This role is ideal for someone who is energised by solving operational challenges, building strong relationships, and turning innovative ideas into commercial reality.
Reporting to the GM Sustainable Procurement & Innovation, you will work closely with Procurement, Operations, R&D, and our strategic suppliers to deliver sustainability‐focused innovation that drives value, efficiency, and environmental impact.
What you'll do
* Lead and manage a pipeline of supplier‐driven innovation projects, with a strong focus on sustainability and practical site‐level outcomes.
* Conduct market research and translate insights into executable initiatives across materials, processes, and operational improvements.
* Work across procurement, operations, technical teams and suppliers to connect the dots and ensure projects progress from concept through to implementation.
* Engage directly with sites to understand on‐the‐ground challenges, ask the right questions, and identify opportunities for improvement.
* Collaborate closely with Category Leads to prioritise, coordinate and deliver impactful innovation activity.
* Influence stakeholders at all levels, challenge assumptions constructively, and build momentum for change across the business.
About you
You will have:
* 3–5+ years' experience in procurement, innovation, manufacturing, engineering, sustainability or supplier‐facing roles.
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills — able to influence, facilitate, and build trusted relationships.
* Solid experience in project management, ideally in complex operational environments.
* The capability and flexibility to travel to multiple Visy sites, including interstate, as needed.
* Curiosity, initiative, and the confidence to lead conversations, challenge ideas, and uncover insights at all levels.
* Experience in packaging, sustainability, circularity, or manufacturing is advantageous but not essential — we value capability and attitude just as much as technical background.
