Overview
Our client is a well-established professional services firm recognised for its expertise in litigation, dispute resolution and commercial law. Responsibilities
* Transcribe dictation and assist with general document production.
* Draft, format and edit a variety of legal documents such as deeds, agreements, ASIC forms, meeting minutes, notices and correspondence.
* Maintain and update documentation associated with the various board and governance roles undertaken by Corporate Counsel.
* Assist with the preparation of Wills and estate planning documents, including probate application materials.
* Monitor and manage incoming correspondence and emails, including assisting with fee earners\' inbox management where required.
* Perform conflict checks and support the file opening process, while maintaining and closing both electronic and hard copy client files.
* Organise and manage correspondence and documentation within the FilePro document management system.
* Support monthly billing processes, including invoice preparation, expense claims and debtor follow-ups.
* Coordinate meetings both in person and via Microsoft Teams, including arranging meeting rooms and assisting with logistics for client AGMs and EGMs.
* Arrange travel bookings when required.
* Provide administrative support across the commercial team and assist with cover during staff absences.
* Maintain and update the team\'s database of precedent documents used by the corporate and commercial practice.
* Act as a key point of contact for routine internal and external enquiries.
* Ensure strict confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive client information and communications.
Qualifications and suitability
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management software [FilePro].
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* A keen eye for detail and accuracy in all tasks.
* A positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Previous experience in a legal environment.
* Understanding of legal terminology and procedures.
