Job Title: Male Youth Program Facilitator

This role focuses on reducing family violence and improving social emotional wellbeing through culturally safe approaches. You will work closely with the Social Emotional Wellbeing team to deliver education programs that meet the specific needs of Aboriginal men and children.

Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and delivering education programs; developing intervention strategies in consultation with internal and external personnel; providing intensive case management and community education; and liaising with stakeholders to develop knowledge of priorities within the region.

To be successful in this role, you should have a Certificate IV in Community Services or similar capabilities; knowledge of the Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Act 2012 (QLD) and its impacts on individuals, families, and communities; and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander societies and cultures.

The ideal candidate will also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to effectively advocate for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. You will need to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining confidentiality.
