What You Will Be Doing
* Collecting blood and non‐blood samples with care and attention
* Keeping meticulous records for every patient and sample
* Delivering documentation within strict turnaround times
* Preparing and packaging specimens for transport and testing
* Liaising with customers, clinic staff and couriers
What Type of Person Will Be Successful
We welcome experienced Pathology Collectors, Cert III holders or those embarking on a Phlebotomy career. Registered Nurses seeking daytime shifts may also apply. Those without collection experience but with a customer‐service focus and healthcare background can receive fully paid training and mentoring.
Attributes & Skills
* Demonstrated experience in Phlebotomy or a Certificate III in Pathology Collection or a healthcare background
* Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a high level of empathy
* Organised, strong time‐management and attention to detail
* Ability to work autonomously, including independently in a solo clinic
* Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to multiple clinics
* Working with Children's Check or willingness to obtain one
* Australian citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen or eligible visa holder with permission to work
* Flexible to work various hours
A valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required for this role.
Vaccination Requirements
* Evidence of vaccination against vaccine‐preventable diseases such as Hepatitis B is required
* Other vaccinations may be required based on location
