Your new role
As the Media and Communications Officer, you'll be the voice behind the organisation's public image. From crafting compelling stories and managing social media to producing newsletters and capturing moments at community events, you'll be at the heart of everything communications. You'll work closely with leadership and stakeholders to ensure consistent, engaging messaging across all platforms-digital, print, and in-person.
This is a full-time role (38 hours/week) and you'll have the flexibility to work remotely part of the time, making it ideal for someone who values both community connection and work-life balance.
What you'll need to succeed
* Experience or qualifications in communications, PR, journalism, or marketing.
* Strong writing and editing skills, with a knack for storytelling.
* Confidence using social media and web content tools.
* Great people skills and the ability to build relationships.
* A creative mindset and attention to detail.
* Cultural awareness and the ability to work across diverse communities.
* A current driving licence, recent Criminal History Check, and Working with Children clearance.
* Willingness to travel occasionally to remote communities.
