**About the role**
In this role, you will work closely with the business to develop, implement and manage category, contract and supplier strategies that deliver sustained value providing Ampol with a competitive advantage.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead the development, implementation and management of Category Management plans in collaboration with the business
- Own and contribute to medium to long range business partners' plans to ensure alignment of the category, contract and supplier strategies
- Lead strategic procurement initiatives, including the solicitation of quotations and proposals, for assigned categories to deliver value to the business
- Work with business partners to reduce demand activity, complexity, immediacy and variability for the assigned categories
- Reduce the total cost of ownership for goods and services in the assigned categories
- Lead evaluation processes of sourcing activities to determine optimal supply sources
- Draft, negotiate and implement contractual agreements
**About you**
You will be both analytical and commercial focused with a passion to drive cost reduction as well improve stakeholder engagement. You will be motivated to grow your career within Ampol and take on strategic improvements.
**Key skills and experience**
- Extensive experience and knowledge of procurement fundamentals
- Strong sourcing and negotiations, contract implementation and management resulting in cost reduction
- Eexcellent stakeholder management skills, excellent data analysis and Excel skills
- Desirable: Project Management skills & SAP ERP Skills
