Bethanie is a leading not for profit aged care provider based in Western Australia. For nearly 70 years, we have been empowering ageing Australians to lead their most meaningful lives by recognising 'old age' as a positive force in society and giving a voice to those who have seen it all and live to tell the tale.
We are currently seeking experienced Care Worker to provide daily support to our residents at Bethanie Peel, Mandurah.
This role is offered on a Part-time basis.
The successful candidate must be available to work the following shift pattern:
Week 1: Saturday 07:00 - 15:00 (7.5hrs) & Sunday 06:00 - 13:30 (7hrs)
Week 2: Sunday 07:00 - 15:00 (7.5hrs)
OR
Week 1: Saturday 07:00 - 15:00 (7.5hrs) & Sunday 07:00 - 15:00 (7.5hrs)
Week 2: Saturday 15:00 - 19:00 (5.5hrs)
Our Care Workers are an integral part of the care and support we provide to our residents. Applicants with at least twelve months experience in a similar role will be highly regarded.
About You
* Previous experience working in an aged care or hospital environment
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work well as a team and also independently
* Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The Bethanie Group
* Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations
* National Police Check or NDIS Clearance.
The Role
* Assess care plans and ensure residents' needs are met
* Ensure services (including food, laundry, personal care, domestic and interest) are delivered in a timely and safe manner
* Deliver personal care tasks (including toileting and showering) with dignity and respect
* Ensure residents' rooms and the facility environment is maintained to an appropriate standard
