Full-time (1.0 FTE), fixed term contract available until 31 December 2027

Salary range: $114,151 - $128,065 (plus 17% Superannuation)

The role

The appointee will report to the South Australian lead of the Culturally Nourishing Schooling project at the School of Education, Adelaide University. The role involves working closely with the Pedagogical Lead to support professional learning activities focused on Aboriginal education. The role encompasses community development, communication skills, and administrative responsibilities, requiring a commitment to high quality and high equity schooling practices.

The role is well suited to somebody who enjoys working across diverse locations and addressing complex and challenging educational concerns. You will engage with local Aboriginal community members, teachers, principals, and education researchers, and will work as a member of the CNS team while also working independently.

Qualifications

To be successful you will need:

* Proven track record in leading, modelling and supporting relationship‐building activities with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Peoples, as well as stakeholders from public institutions, including teachers and principals.
* Engaging with the educational sector (or similar institutional environment) across urban, rural and remote settings, including willingness and capacity for frequent travel and facilitating in‐person professional learning activities.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team, but also to take initiative and work independently while managing competing demands.
* Proven project management skills including ability to plan, organise, set priorities and meet deadlines, with flexibility to alter priorities to meet changing demands.
* High level written, verbal, interpersonal, and cross‐cultural communication skills including the ability to interpret and present ideas to diverse audiences.
