Overview

PRIMARY DETAIL The Clinical Learning and Development Manager is responsible for the development, planning, coordination, delivery and evaluation of internal and external learning and development activities at MindSpot and the MindSpot Academy. MindSpot Clinic – Macquarie University Health.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced, motivated and strategic Clinical Learning and Development Manager to lead the MindSpot Academy within Macquarie University Health. MindSpot is an internationally recognised digital psychology clinic, supporting more than 30,000 Australians each year through evidence-based mental health care. In this senior leadership role, you will be responsible for the design, delivery and continuous improvement of clinician training, learning and professional development programs that support high-quality, safe and effective digital mental health services. Reporting to the Clinic Director, this role provides clinical leadership across training, supervision and workforce development, while ensuring alignment with clinical governance, quality and compliance frameworks. You will lead a team of clinical trainers and supervisors and play a key role in shaping the future capability of the digital mental health workforce.

Key accountabilities
* Provide strategic leadership for clinician learning, development and training across MindSpot
* Identify organisational learning needs and develop contemporary learning strategies and implementation plans
* Lead and support a team of clinical trainers and supervisors
* Oversee induction, orientation, supervision and professional development for staff and students
* Develop and deliver high-quality online training resources and learning programs for mental health professionals
* Ensure training activities align with clinical governance, patient safety, quality and compliance requirements
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders to support service delivery, innovation and workforce capability
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and evidence-based education practices

To Apply / Requirements

To be considered, your resume and 1-page cover letter must demonstrate the following requirements:

* Registration as a Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or Registered Nurse, or eligibility for AASW membership as a Social Worker
* Minimum of five (5) years' experience working in mental health
* Demonstrated ability to identify organisational learning needs and develop learning strategies and associated plans
* Experience providing clinical supervision to mental health clinicians
* Experience developing and facilitating clinician learning and professional development activities
* Sound understanding of clinical governance, patient safety and quality frameworks
* Knowledge of evidence-based therapist professional development methods
* Demonstrated experience working with anxiety and depressive disorders using evidence-based treatments
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
* Proven ability to engage, motivate and lead staff to achieve organisational objectives
* Ability to adapt and perform effectively in a fast-moving, innovative service environment

Employment is conditional upon satisfactory completion of all checks and ongoing maintenance of clearances.
