Position Summary
As a Process Operations Engineer, you will take responsibility for the ongoing operation, optimisation and performance of an industrial water treatment plant supporting a major infrastructure project in central Sydney.
Working closely with project leads and site teams, you will ensure the plant meets required quality, compliance and production outcomes while maintaining safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operation of an industrial water treatment plant for a major infrastructure project in Sydney
Monitor process performance, troubleshoot issues and implement optimisation measures
Ensure plant throughput and water quality targets are achieved
Complete accurate and detailed operational reporting, including process logs, incident reports, maintenance records and site documentation
Coordinate and supervise routine and preventative maintenance activities
Support commissioning and decommissioning phases as required
Assist with equipment upgrades, modifications and continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure all operational activities comply with the company's QHSE management system and relevant regulatory standards
Collaborate with internal engineers, scientists and project stakeholders to support plant performance
Required Experience
Experience in process operations within water treatment, wastewater, industrial treatment, chemical processing or similar
Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality and compliance
Trade, technical or engineering qualification preferred (Chemical, Environmental, Process or related discipline)
Cert III Water Industry Operations advantageous
