What We Are Looking For
Due to internal movements, we’re looking for an experienced payroller to join our team on a temporary basis through to mid January 2026. You’ll play a crucial role as part of our hard working team, providing a confidential and efficient payroll function to council and our employees.
What Your Day Will Look Like
1. Maintaining confidential personnel and payroll records throughout the employee lifecycle
2. Completing payroll activities including data entry, adjustments and reviews
3. Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation including superannuation and taxation
4. Reviewing and updating payroll related policies and procedures
5. Providing advice to employees as needed and liaising with external agencies
6. Assisting with payroll reporting as required
What You’ll Need For Success
1. Demonstrated experience in a payroll position, ideally within a high volume environment
2. Solid understanding of payroll related legislation and industrial awards
3. Strong customer service and relationship building skills
4. A high level of accuracy when performing data entry duties
5. The ability to pick up new systems with ease
