Lead Support Worker Team
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated support worker team leader to lead our team of support workers, assist with training, manage staff resourcing, and ensure coverage across the business.
About This Role
* This role is ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their career, preferably with experience in HR or NDIS Team Lead roles.
* You will be responsible for onboarding new support workers, developing strategies to match staff with compatible participants, and mentoring them to provide quality care and support.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the onboarding process of new support workers.
* Develop and implement strategies to ensure effective staffing and resource allocation.
* Mentor and coach support workers to deliver high-quality care and support.
* Motivate and inspire your team by fostering a positive work environment.
* Communicate effectively with operations managers to manage budgets and implement care plans.
* Understand and implement relevant policies and processes to contribute to their development and refinement.
* Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent support for participants.
* Support rostering team members' shifts promptly and accurately.
Requirements
* A genuine interest in responding to the needs of others.
* 1-2 years' experience in an NDIS Team Lead or HR role.
* A strong understanding of the NDIS industry.
* Experience in support work and leading a team is highly desirable.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with strong communication abilities.
* A high-level understanding of the SCHADS award.
* The ability to lead and motivate a team towards achieving organisational goals and delivering exceptional customer service.
