As a General Mill Worker (Rigger) at Wilmar Sugar and Renewables, you'll be responsible for safely and efficiently carrying out rigging and scaffolding tasks as required by the site.
This permanent position will be based at Pioneer Mill in North Queensland's Burdekin region, known for its stunning landscapes, rich agricultural heritage, and a vibrant community. The Burdekin region offers a fantastic lifestyle with a warm climate, beautiful beaches and a range of recreational activities, making it a great place to live and work.
This position follows a year-round day work roster pattern (with RDOs most Fridays) and may require some weekend work and overtime.
Your Role in Action
* Collaborate effectively with fellow riggers, scaffolders and assistants for smooth team operations.
* Maintain a register of all rigging equipment and ensure its readiness for use.
* Regularly inspect, test, and maintain rigging equipment to ensure top performance.
* Prioritise safe rigging practices, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
* Ensure permits, risk assessments, and safety analyses are completed for all tasks.
Your Winning Combination
The successful applicant must have previous experience in a similar role, hold a current C Class Driver, Rigger and Dogger Licence. Bonus points for candidates with sugar industry experience.
