Heavy Equipment Maintenance Leadership Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee the maintenance operations of a large fleet of heavy mining equipment at our Peak Downs Mine site.
This leadership role will be responsible for managing daily maintenance planning, execution, and reporting activities while driving a strong safety culture aligned with client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide leadership and direction to maintenance supervisors, trades, and support personnel.
* Manage daily maintenance planning, execution, and reporting activities.
* Drive a strong safety culture aligned with client expectations.
* Maintain and strengthen relationships with clients and internal stakeholders through effective communication and service delivery.
* Monitor equipment performance, availability, and reliability targets.
* Coordinate maintenance shutdowns and planned work schedules.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives across people, process, and plant.
* Build positive working relationships with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a similar HME maintenance leadership role within mining.
* Trade qualification in Plant Mechanic / Diesel Fitting or relevant engineering discipline (desirable).
* Strong understanding of Caterpillar, Komatsu, or similar fleet maintenance practices.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
* Commitment to safety, quality, and team development.
* Experience using maintenance management systems (e.g., AMT, or similar).
Roster & Conditions:
* 5 / 2 roster.
* Based at Peak Downs Mine.
