About your role

We are looking for a motivated Administration Officer Trainee to join LDC. You will receive on the job training with ongoing mentoring and support to help you kickstart your career. You will be completing a nationally recognised Certificate III in Business Administration, whilst gaining experience and developing key business relationships.

Please note this is a 12-month contract.

About what you'll do

- Assist the Administration Manager with the smooth run of daily office operations.
- Answer and direct phone calls, correspondence and emails in a timely and professional manner
- Provide general admin support to the team, which includes but is not limited to:
- Digital filing, working with PDF and Office documents, ensuring style guides are maintained.
- Accurate record keeping and maintaining of security and other registers.
- Perform reconciliations
- Support consistency in document formatting, document control, and branding across corporate communications.
- Assist with coordination and set up of meetings and functions.
- Ensure adequate supplies of consumables, such as stationery, printer, and kitchen supplies are maintained and reviewed on a weekly basis

About You / What you'll bring

- Previous experience in reception and/or administrative support roles is preferred
- Computer savvy, knowledge of Microsoft Office package is highly valued
- Initiative and problem-solving skills
- Ability to be organised and prioritise task effectively
- Ability to work well independently and within a small team
- Willingness to travel to various worksites throughout the Greater Darwin Region
- Ability to comply with WHS and other relevant legislation
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Reliable and commitment to continuous improvement
