About The Role
The AEMO Operations Division is responsible for ensuring continued secure efficient operation of the NEM, WEM and Gas markets while enabling the transition of the power system towards 100% renewables.
You will provide critical support in delivering data-driven insights and operational risk reporting that enable proactive risk management and compliance monitoring. You will focus on building transparency and efficiency through consolidating risk data, automated reporting, and developing actionable insights for leadership. By ensuring risk information is timely, reliable, and accessible, you will help strengthen operational resilience and risk maturity across the business.
What You Will Be Doing
Develop and maintain risk dashboards and reporting tools, ensuring accurate and timely visibility of risk exposure and trends for leadership and governance committees.
Collect, validate, and consolidate risk-related data from multiple sources, ensuring integrity and consistency across systems.
Prepare clear and concise risk reports and communications for operational teams, senior leadership, and governance forums.
Lead automation and visualisation improvements to streamline reporting processes and enhance transparency.
Support risk assessments and compliance reviews by providing data insights and trend analysis.
What You Will Bring To The Role
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Data Analytics, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
Ideally experience in risk analysis, reporting, and data visualisation, preferably in the Energy sector or a similarly regulated environment.
Strong analytical and data management skills, with proficiency in data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear, actionable format, and an eye for detail, with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple data sources effectively.
