About our Liveaboard Vessel
Ocean Quest is our liveaboard vessel and is the ultimate Great Barrier Reef overnight experience from Cairns. When boarding the Ocean Quest you can spend days and nights exploring the best outer Great Barrier Reef dive sites aboard our floating accommodation, with snorkel, intro dive and certified dive options available.
Our three-deck, 35m catamaran is purpose built for a top class dive holiday, with a spacious dive deck, large open sundecks and hot, fresh water showers. All delicious meals are prepared by our onboard chef, including hearty breakfasts, lunches and dinners.
Our product focuses on a high-quality customer experience; we aim to provide an unbeatable customer experience that combines our great food, beautiful tropical location, safety and qualified friendly team.
About the Role
We are currently looking for an experienced Chef/Cook for an immediate start. There is the opportunity for either a Fulltime or Casual position.
and the successful candidate must be available over the public holidays and be able to live onboard for up to 5 days.
Qualifications required:
* A Certificate III or higher in Commercial Cooking
* Food Safety Supervisor - SITXFSA002 (Or obtain within 1 month)
* Food Handler Certificate - SITXFSA101
* First Aid and CPR Certificate
The successful applicant will also have:
* Knowledge of Food Safety Standards and Food Act 2006.
* Knowledge of WH&S and handling of food in conjunction with company Food Safety Manual.
* Demonstrated experience in a kitchen environment.
* Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and to manage your time effectively.
* Must be clean, tidy, and organised and well presented with a smile
* Experience working on at sea on vessels desirable
