Role DescriptionWe are seeking a qualified Trainer and Assessor for the Graduate Diploma of Management (learning) program. This is a casual, on-site position based in Canberra. The Trainer and Assessor will be responsible for delivering training sessions, assessing student performance, providing feedback, and maintaining compliance with vocational education standards. Collaboration with fellow educators and administrative staff to ensure the highest quality of delivery is a key part of this role.
About the Role
As a Trainer and Assessor, you will:Deliver engaging, high‑quality training and assessment for the Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) studentsFacilitate learning across key units such as organisational learning strategy, leadership, innovation, and capability developmentSupport learners through coaching, mentoring, and constructive feedbackConduct assessment marking, validation, and continuous improvement activitiesMaintain compliance with ASQA Standards, organisational policies, and industry best practiceContribute to resource development and enhancement of training materials

About You
To be successful, you will have:Essential Requirements
TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or successor)Demonstrated vocational competency at least to the level being delivered (BSB80120 or equivalent)Sound knowledge of training package and competency-based assessmentCurrent industry experience in Education Administration, Human Resource Management, Training, Career Development Manager and other educational related fieldsStrong documentation and record-keeping skills

Proven experience delivering training in leadership, learning strategy, organisational development, RTO managementExcellent communication, facilitation, and learner‑support skillsAbility to design, contextualise, and assess complex learning activitiesCommitment to compliance, quality assurance, and continuous improvementRelevant postgraduate qualification (e.g., Graduate Diploma or Master’s in Management, Leadership, Learning, HR, or related field)
