Construction & Development Project Manager

BASIS: Full-Time
SALARY PACKAGE: $125,000 – $135,000 p.a

We have some exciting growth ahead and need a superstar Construction & Development Project Manager to assist in the creation of our masterpieces.
Rather than engage general contractors, we build our own clubs in-house. As such, we need an experienced & capable Project Manager to spearhead this process. The role will be an ever changing, exciting and interesting journey with a high level of responsibility and autonomy.
We are seeking an experienced Construction & Development Project Manager who can confidently run projects end‐to‐end, communicate clearly and respectfully with a range of stakeholders, and ensure jobs are delivered to a high standard.

THE ROLE
You will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of our Health Club fitout projects from start to finish. Your role will involve managing the design process, approvals, quoting, scheduling, construction & delivery of new Clubs.
This is a full‐time, office or site based position: with regular site visits initially centered around the Gold Coast; and future sites up in Brisbane & Ipswich.
Areas of responsibility you will handle include;
* Site analysis.
* Working with Architect on creating construction/fitout plans.
* Knowledge of Planning & approvals process.
* Create construction schedules.
* Create detailed trade briefs for quoting.
* Work with trades on tendering quotes for each project.
* Assess trade quotes in detail to ensure all aspects of a job are included, ensuring variations are minimized.
* Award contracts to trades, ensuring proper trade contracts & paperwork.
* Work with and manage the contracts administrator during construction.
* Conducting site visits to monitor progress and resolve issues.
* Work closely with trades to ensure quality workmanship.
* Solve design & construction challenges as they arrive.
* Review progress claims & invoices to ensure accuracy/correctness.
* Complete certification & handover.
ABOUT YOU

* Understanding of a project from inception to construction to completion.
* 3-5 years experience in Construction and/or Project Management based roles (even as an assistant or junior PM/CM), Shopfitting experience preferred.
* Formal Qualifications in Project Management and/or Construction Trade qualifications preferred.
* Previous experience in managing construction and/or commercial fit-outs, demonstrating the ability to deliver a high quality and on time project.
* Understanding of the planning & approvals process.
* Experience working within Australian Building Regulatory Standards.
* Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with all internal and external stakeholders.
* Excellent Time management and ability to work across multiple projects.
* Impeccable organization skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex issues.
