Overview
Oaks Brisbane Mews Suites is expanding our housekeeping department with a casual, dual role combining Guest Room Cleaning and Common Area Cleaning & Guest Support responsibilities. We’re looking for energetic individuals with a keen eye for detail who thrive in a team-oriented environment and are committed to delivering an exceptional guest experience.
Responsibilities
Guest Room Cleaning
- Thoroughly clean guest rooms, including making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms to ensure a pristine environment.
- Complete daily cleaning tasks efficiently within the allocated hours.
- Collaborate with team members to meet cleaning targets and operational goals.
Common Area Cleaning & Guest Support
- Clean and maintain all shared guest areas to the highest standards, ensuring spaces remain hygienic and visually appealing.
- Assist with after-hours guest enquiries, addressing issues promptly.
- Operate specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively (training provided).
- Build positive, skilled relationships with guests, colleagues, and contractors.
Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation)
- Monday - Friday: $32.31 per hour
- Saturday: $38.78 per hour
- Sunday: $45.24 per hour
Qualifications
Successful candidates will have:
- Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles is highly regarded.
- Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training provided).
- Professional and clear communication skills to interact with guests, team members, and contractors.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- A positive and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
