Our client is seeking an experienced Site Operations Lead to manage the day-to-day operations of a utility-scale solar farm. Reporting to the O&M Manager, you will ensure safe, reliable, and efficient site performance while maintaining high standards across safety, compliance, and asset management.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead a strong safety culture and drive Zero Harm across site activities
* Oversee site access, inductions, permits, and compliance
* Manage inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance to meet operational targets
* Identify and implement condition-based maintenance and resolve performance issues with technical teams
* Monitor and report on site budget, resource allocation, and contractor performance
* Manage spare parts inventory and ensure timely replenishment
* Maintain CMMS records, schedule maintenance, and train staff on system usage
* Collaborate with peers across the network to share best practices and drive operational efficiency
Skills & Experience
* Electrical Licence, preferably with nominee capabilities; HV switching qualifications
* Minimum 5 years in a similar role, preferably in solar or renewable energy
* Knowledge of solar plant operations, inverters, transformers, and SCADA systems
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage contractors and multi-disciplinary teams effectively
* Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred
