The Opportunity
As Agoda continues to expand through disruptive digital and platform-based solutions, we are seeking a Director / Senior Director of Global Government Affairs to help map, navigate, and shape complex and evolving regulatory landscapes across e-commerce, data, taxation, fintech, AI, and travel.

This is a strategic, high-impact leadership role for a self-motivated, commercially minded policy leader who can operate effectively across jurisdictions and cultures, anticipate regulatory risk, and enable sustainable business growth.

Reporting directly to the Chief Communications Officer (CCO), the Director / Senior Director will partner closely with Agoda's senior leadership and cross-functional teams—including Legal, Tax, Innovation, CSR, and Supply—to set global and regional priorities, engage governments and institutions, and position Agoda as a trusted, responsible partner in markets around the world.

*What You Will Do*

* Build and lead Agoda's Global Government Affairs function, operating with a start-up mentality while establishing scalable structures, processes, and governance
* Monitor, assess, and influence policy and regulatory developments across priority markets, identifying risks and opportunities that impact Agoda's growth and operations
* Engage proactively with local, regional, national, and supranational authorities, regulators, and industry bodies to help shape pragmatic, business-enabling policy outcomes
* Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Tax, Compliance, Innovation, Tax, Supply, and other teams to develop coordinated responses to regulatory challenges and emerging threats
* Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, developing briefing materials, engagement strategies, and messaging for high-level government and stakeholder interactions
* Manage external advisors and consultants, ensuring strong value delivery and disciplined budget management
* Design and deliver clear KPIs and reporting frameworks aligned with company priorities and risk management objectives
* Protect and enhance Agoda's reputation, ensuring advocacy efforts reflect the company's values and commitment to integrity, transparency, and responsible business practices

*Who You Are*

* 10+ years of experience in public policy, government affairs, or a related field; experience in technology, e-commerce, travel, hospitality, or fintech strongly preferred
* Proven ability to build and scale functions, ideally within fast-growing or complex global organizations
* Entrepreneurial, collaborative, and intellectually curious, with the confidence to operate effectively in Agoda's flat, fast-paced environment
* Strong understanding of business strategy, market dynamics, and regulatory risk
* Demonstrated experience working across multiple geographies, with Asia experience and networks or international experience highly desirable
* Exceptional verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills in English; proficiency in one or more Asian languages is a strong advantage
* Bachelor's degree from a leading university required; advanced degree preferred
* Willingness to travel internationally
* Impeccable integrity, cultural sensitivity, and professional judgment

Why Agoda
Agoda is a dynamic, fast-evolving organization. Success in this role requires adaptability, resilience, and a willingness to continuously evolve the scope of work in response to changing business and regulatory needs. We see this flexibility as an opportunity to build a broad, impactful portfolio and shape the future of global government engagement at one of the world's leading travel-tech companies.
