Exciting opportunity for a Nurse Unit Manager to join the Department of Health!

The Role:
The Nurse Unit Manager of Whittle Unit is a key leadership role within Palliative Care both in the south and across the palliative care service networks in Tasmania.
Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Demonstrated extensive clinical knowledge and experience in palliative care.
- Comprehensive knowledge of and experience in contemporary nursing management practice, including: clinical governance; clinical risk management; evidenced based practice; research; clinical standards; ethics; and legislation.
- Demonstrate capability to promote a shared vision and purpose and positively influence others (internally and externally) to ensure optimal client outcomes and build a culture of success, commitment and active contribution by all staff within the practice area.
Details of appointment:
Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
Salary and Benefits:
$130,203 to $136,295 per annum, plus 12% superannuation contribution. Additional benefits include Post Graduate Allowance, salary packaging, career development opportunities, and leave entitlements.
