Melbourne Teaching Health Clinics (MTHC) is a non-for-profit, wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Melbourne and provides world class clinical training opportunities for the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences students.
It also provides patient access to high quality health care for members of the Victorian community, within a private practice setting.
There are six clinical areas that are central to this service, and they include general medical practice, dentistry, optometry, audiology, speech pathology and psychology.

About Shepparton Medical Centre
The Shepparton Medical (SMC) centre is a GP Clinic and multidisciplinary practice providing quality health care to the general public in Shepparton and surrounds.
It has been facilitating the wellbeing of patients and students through quality patient-centred care and outstanding clinical education and delivers approximately 40,000 services to patients each year.
It supports the community in a number of ways including participating in Priority Primary Care Centres as well as providing allied health care and a range of specialist services.

About the Role
Shepparton Medical Centre has both an amazing part time opportunity as well as casual opportunities available for an enthusiastic Practice Administrator who thrives in supporting their community
The role is flexible and can accommodate school hours.
At Shepparton Medical Centre, great health care starts with great people, and our Practice Administrators are at the heart of that experience.
As the first point of contact for patients and visitors, this role is key to creating a warm, welcoming environment while keeping things running smoothly for our doctors and nurses.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll deliver exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals, ensuring every interaction feels supported, respectful, and efficient.
You'll warmly greet patients on arrival, manage phone and front-desk enquiries, schedule and confirm appointments, and help coordinate the daily flow of the clinic so our team can focus on providing high-quality primary care.
In this role, your care, attention to detail, and professionalism directly contribute to a positive healthcare experience for our community by helping every patient feel valued from the moment they walk through the door.
What you'll do:
Greet patients with warmth and a smile.
Manage appointments and assist with patient enquiries.
Process payments.
Communicate with patients, their families and other health care providers.
Collaborate with the medical team to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Keep the front desk humming and helping create a positive experience for everyone who walks through the door.
What you'll bring:
Relevant qualification and/or work experience in a front desk customer service environment or a healthcare administration environment
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with patients and other stakeholders with warmth, confidence and empathy.
Strong computer skills and ability to use software such as the MS Office Suite, internet and email.
The ability to work autonomously but also work collaboratively and effectively within a team environment.
