Casework Manager – Mid North Coast

Mid North Coast District – Coffs Harbour, Kempsey, Port Macquarie, Taree
Overview
Lead a team of Caseworkers and Casework Support Workers to deliver child‑centred practice across the district. This is a talent pool recruitment for future ongoing and temporary roles.
Salary
Grade 9 – $125,693 – $129,228 pa plus superannuation and annual leave loading.
Responsibilities
* Lead daily priorities and resource allocation for the casework team.
* Provide effective supervision, practice change and quality assurance.
* Prepare legal documentation and manage court proceedings.
* Mentor staff and manage performance and timeframes.
* Collaborate with community partners and drive operational improvement.
* Engage in consultation with senior leaders on sensitive matters.
Duties
* Practicing effective group and individual supervision.
* Leading practice and practice change through feedback and mentoring.
* Quality assurance of information and records for children and young people.
* Preparation and review of legal documentation and court matters.
* Initiate court proceedings and support caseworkers in court matters.
* Engage in professional development and partnership collaboration.
* Contributing to operational and policy issues and change management.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Social Science, Welfare or related discipline.
* Demonstrated experience applying best practice casework with children and families.
* Experience leading and managing teams in high‑volume work area.
* Understanding of trauma‑informed care and impact of poverty, trauma and violence.
* A valid driver's licence.
