About the Role

As a Senior Energy Solutions Specialist, you will be responsible for contributing to pre-sales and implementation activities in support of our Asia Pacific sales growth and strategy for energy trading and risk management solutions. You will have a deep understanding of how electricity, gas, and carbon markets work and will be able to effectively communicate the value proposition of our solutions to clients.

This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical knowledge and business acumen. You will work closely with subject matter experts to prepare and submit documents such as request for information (RFI), request for quotation (RFQ), and request for proposal (RFP). You will also assist account executives to meet strict delivery of these sales tender documents.

You must produce compelling technical proposals that match client needs with the features and strengths of our energy trading and risk management solution. You will also seek to work with other product teams and functional experts to develop large and complex solution architectures to demonstrate how a set of various products can come together to offer a differentiated solution to the customer.

You will utilise your technical knowledge and business acumen to assist in opportunity vetting and scoping. This will include originating and leading customer discovery calls and capturing learnings into a close plan. You will also support bid/no bid analyses and decisions, participate in project risk review processes.

You will proactively seek out and independently run product demonstrations and workshops to convince prospective clients of the value proposition of our solutions. You will provide technical support and clarification as needed during sales meetings, product presentations, and negotiations with customers.

You will participate in projects in a direct customer-facing capacity, working with business and technical analysts to come up with effective solutions that meet client requirements with a view of long-term growth of the solution in the client ecosystem.


Requirements

* Master's degree - preferably in finance or international trade.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a commercial function in the energy industry.
* Strategic business acumen, resilience in sales pursuits, excellent time management, decision-making, presentation, relationship-building, and organisational skills.


Preferred Qualifications

* Prior work experience with prominent energy trading and risk management vendors.
* Willingness to travel throughout Asia Pacific.
* Able to comfortably communicate the value proposition of our energy trading and risk management solutions to clients.
