**How will I help?**
Are you ready to step into a pivotal role as a Manager of Business Controls and Monitoring within our Technology Division? You'll be joining our dynamic Business Control and Monitoring (BCM) team, where you'll play a crucial role in safeguarding the success of our bank. We're committed to fostering a risk-aware mindset across our Technology Division, ensuring informed decision-making at every turn.
As part of the BCM team, you'll be instrumental in evaluating, directing, and monitoring first-line risk activities, ensuring that risk within our Technology Division aligns with the established risk appetite of the Westpac Group. Your leadership will be essential in guiding our Technology division towards effective risk management practices.
What we're searching for is someone who embodies dynamism, drive, and leadership while upholding the values that define Westpac. You'll need to be adept at providing counsel to our Technology Leaders, particularly in areas such as Infrastructure, Service Management, and Information Security, aiding them in assessing risks and devising strategies to mitigate them effectively.
In this role, your day-to-day responsibilities will include developing risk management strategies, collaborating with business and project owners to cultivate a robust risk culture, and crafting management reports for governance forums. You'll also collaborate closely with project and operational teams to ensure that technology solutions are designed to minimize risk.
