Senior associate - front end construction

Overview

Seeking a remarkable Senior Associate to join our Brisbane Construction Practice. Join a Band‐1 ranked Construction Practice, collaborate and contribute to a successful and impactful team, and work with a variety of clients to bring to life some of the most high‐profile and game‐changing projects in Queensland.

Responsibilities

This role will cover a variety of front‐end construction law activities, including assisting clients with the procurement process, preparing, reviewing, negotiating and advising on the full spectrum of construction contracts, and advising on legal and regulatory issues relating to construction projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–12 months experience in a similar Senior Associate level position with specific experience advising project owners or contractors on the development of major construction and infrastructure projects.
• High quality private practice experience and experience working in‐house (public or private) within the construction/projects industry.
• Strong academic ability and drafting skills.
• The ability to provide timely, accurate and commercially astute advice.
• A strong sense of purpose, ambition and a proactive approach to your work.
• A desire to work within a dynamic, supportive and fast‐paced team environment on complex construction and infrastructure projects.
• Resilient, self‐starter, able to work autonomously and focused on attention to detail and providing an outstanding service to clients.
