Technical Advisors play a vital role in our Site Services team, responsible for overseeing the coordination of mechanical service and maintenance work carried out on OEM Equipment during planned shut-down periods. This position involves inspections, testing, and analysis to ensure equipment proficiency, as well as planned and unplanned maintenance and repairs.
The ideal candidate will have a mechanical trade background, ideally with experience in fixed plant Mining equipment, and demonstrate a commitment to safety and customer service orientation. Technical advisory experience with OEM equipment is essential, along with significant Hard Rock experience. Supervisory experience is also necessary, as you will be required to lead local Australian and international personnel in various locations.
Proactive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and develop relationships with a range of people are crucial for this role. Customer interface and negotiations skills, as well as demonstrated ability to work independently and within a small dedicated OEM team, are also required.
This is a semi-hands-on role that requires extensive travel (internationally at times) - willingness to travel is a must. Computer skills, including intermediate understanding, are essential, as well as experience with reading technical drawings and schematics. Work with customers on planning of resources required and demonstrated shut-down work experience are also necessary.
