Based in Tasmania’s beautiful Tamar Valley, you’ll be part of producing Tamar Ridge, Pirie Sparkling, and Devil’s Corner wines, working with grapes sourced from across Tasmania as well as our own East Coast and Tamar Valley vineyards.

Description:
About the Role: Reporting to the Head Of Winemaking - Tasmania and working alongside a dedicated team, you will perform a range of cellar procedures and operate winery equipment in accordance with wine handling standards.

Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out cellar duties safely, hygienically, and efficiently in line with wine handling procedures.
* Operate winery and cellar equipment with demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
* Participate in vintage operations, including training support and supervisory duties during peak periods.
* Maintain winery cleanliness and hygiene, ensuring equipment is well cared for and in good working order.
* Support sustainability initiatives and environmental practices.
* Contribute to a positive workplace culture and ongoing process improvement.
* Provide general support across other winery activities as required by the business.
Skills and Experiences:
About You: You are a reliable, detail-focused team player with a proactive attitude and strong commitment to safety and hygiene standards. You take pride in your work and contribute positively to team culture.

Previous winery experience is highly regarded, and prior supervisory experience will be advantageous.

We are looking for a suitably skilled Cellar Hand with:
* Vintage experience (preferred, not essential)
* Experience operating winery/mechanical equipment
* Ability to work independently and use initiative
* Strong communication skills across all levels
* Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks (no known sulphur allergies)
* Strong attention to detail, hygiene, and commitment to safety
* Current Driver’s Licence
* Forklift (High Risk) Licence (preferred, not essential)
