Are you a strategic retail leader with a passion for luxury brands, and the drive to grow and manage a multi-state business across multiple channels? We're seeking an exceptional Area Manager to take ownership of our expanding portfolio across WA & SA NSW, covering 4 department store doors, and a growing network of wholesale accounts.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a pivotal leadership role within a premium fragrance business representing some of the world's most iconic niche fragrance houses.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Area Manager – WA & SA will be responsible for the successful execution of retail operations, wholesale account management, and sales growth initiatives across the three states. This includes day-to-day support and leadership for department store counters (e.g., David Jones, Myer), direct management of standalone boutique store, and the ongoing development of independent wholesale partners.

Your role is both operational and strategic: ensuring exceptional service standards and visual presentation in-store, while also identifying opportunities for commercial growth, improving sales performance, and building strong partnerships with retail teams and clients alike.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is confident working autonomously across a large geographical region. Regular interstate travel will be required.

Responsibilities

* Oversee and drive performance across department store doors and standalone retail stores in QLD
* Actively manage and grow a network of wholesale clients, fostering strong B2B relationships
* Deliver retail and wholesale sales targets through strategic business planning, training, and team development
* Partner with department store stakeholders to ensure strong brand alignment and collaborative performance
* Recruit, onboard, and mentor high-performing retail teams to meet and exceed KPIs
* Conduct regular in-store visits and wholesale meetings to ensure adherence to brand standards, customer experience benchmarks, and sales best practices
* Lead weekly and monthly business reporting, sales analysis, and performance reviews across all doors
* Ensure excellence in visual merchandising, stock control, customer engagement, and team culture
* Collaborate with marketing and training teams to roll out in-store activations, new product launches, and seasonal campaigns
* Contribute to long-term commercial planning, identifying new business opportunities and potential retail expansion in the region

About You

* Minimum 2 years' experience in area, regional, or multi-site retail management, ideally in beauty, luxury fashion, or lifestyle brands
* Can hustle, thinks laterally, is fast reacting and is a people person
* Solid understanding of department store operations and wholesale business dynamics
* Proven track record of exceeding sales targets, managing remote teams, and growing market share
* Strong commercial mindset with the ability to analyse data, identify trends, and drive decisions based on insight
* Demonstrated experience building successful client relationships and internal partnerships
* Outstanding leadership and communication skills — able to inspire, influence, and empower teams
* Highly autonomous, organised, and self-motivated with exceptional time management skills
* A genuine passion for the luxury retail space and a deep appreciation for niche fragrance and beauty
* Must be willing and able to travel regularly across WA and SA
