Activity Officer - Residential Care
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Activity Officer to join our team in Byron Bay. The successful candidate will have the ability to engage residents in positive living and lifestyle programs, promoting their emotional, social and psychological well-being.
* About the Role:
The Activity Officer position provides direct assistance to ensure the delivery of our residential care services. As a key member of our care team, you will work closely with colleagues to design and deliver activities that celebrate the diversity and individuality of our residents.
You will be responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating activities that cater to the needs and interests of our residents, ensuring their participation and engagement in all aspects of village life.
In this role, you will also assist with the coordination of daily activities, events and outings, providing support to residents as required.
* Skill Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
* A Certificate III in Leisure and Health or equivalent qualification;
* Competent use of digital technology in a range of areas;
* Vaccine certification in accordance with legislative requirements;
You will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents, families and colleagues.
