Bakers Delight Narellan is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and energetic Qualified Baker to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing, mixing and producing breads, rolls, pastries, and other bakery products in accordance with Bakers Delight recipes and production requirements.
* Mixing, kneading, cutting, moulding, and shaping dough using both manual methods and bakery equipment.
* Preparing and applying glazes, toppings, creams, and icings to bakery products as required.
* Monitoring and adjusting oven temperatures, baking times, and production settings to ensure consistent product quality.
* Weighing and measuring ingredients according to production specifications and maintaining consistent output.
* Operating bakery machinery, ovens, mixers, dough dividers, proofers, and other tools safely and correctly.
* Following WHS, HACCP and food safety procedures at all times to maintain a compliant and safe working environment.
* Cleaning and maintaining baking equipment, benches, utensils, and work areas in line with hygiene and sanitation requirements.
* Coordinating baking schedules, including preparation, proofing, baking, cooling and storage of products.
* Providing guidance, support and on‑the‑job training to junior staff and apprentices when required.
Selection Criteria
* Minimum 1 year full‑time experience as a Baker or completion of Certificate III in Baking/Patisserie (or equivalent).
* Ability to work effectively and cooperatively in a fast‑paced bakery production environment.
* Strong knowledge of dough preparation, proofing processes, and baking techniques.
* High level of attention to detail, consistency, and reliability throughout the production process.
* Demonstrated positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to meeting production standards.
* Ability to train, guide and supervise apprentices and junior staff in bakery production tasks when required.
* Availability to work across a 7‑day roster, including early morning starts from 3:30 am, weekends, evenings and public holidays when required.
