Responsibilities
* Plan, organise, direct and control manufacturing operations to meet production targets and quality standards
* Develop and implement production schedules and workflow plans
* Oversee maintenance of equipment and ensure workplace safety compliance
* Liaise with procurement, quality assurance, and logistics teams for seamless operations
* Ensure production meets regulatory requirements, including environmental and industry standards
* Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
* Lead, train and mentor production staff to achieve performance objectives
Required skills, Qualifications and Experience
* A bachelor degree or higher qualification or at least five years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification
* Strong leadership and operational management skills
* Proficiency in analysing production data and performance metrics
* Excellent problem-solving and decision making abilities
* Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
* Proven track record of managing large-scale production teams and complex operations
* Experience with quality control systems, lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
