Cleveland Education and Training Centre is on the hunt for a proactive and motivated Human Resource/ Timetabling Officer with a strong focus on IT and Microsoft Excel expertise to join the team. You will play a key role in supporting the Leadership Team, Head of Departments and the Business Manager.

Who We Are
Cleveland Education & Training Centre is a Department of Education centre located within the Cleveland Youth Detention Centre in Townsville. It serves young people aged 10 to 18 years from across North Queensland, including remote and island communities. The centre provides a meaningful and structured learning environment for incarcerated youth, aimed at equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to make positive life choices. Since 2022, Cleveland Education & Training Centre operates on a 48-week year, which means staff must be flexible in taking leave outside standard school holiday periods and may work on a rostered schedule.
Step Into Your Next Chapter
This role requires starting work at 6:30 am to ensure timetables are finalised by 8:30 am.
* Coordinating the daily timetabling of students and staff, including room allocations.
* Assisting in a variety of HR duties such as managing staff absences and leave.
* Providing operational support and advice on HR matters in collaboration with the Business Manager.
* Acting as an Excel specialist within the centre.
