Key Responsibilities for Traffic Controllers
- Direct Traffic Flow - Safely manage traffic through work zones, construction sites, accidents, and maintenance areas.
- Set Up Temporary Road Signs - Assist in setting up and removing road signs to ensure smooth traffic control.
- Ensure Pedestrian Safety - Guide pedestrians safely around construction and disruption zones.
- Clear Communication - Use radios to communicate with supervisors, emergency services, and other traffic controllers.
- Follow Directions from Authorities - Work closely with supervisors, police, firefighters, paramedics, and more to ensure safety compliance.
What You Need to Get Started
- Valid Traffic Controller (TCR) Ticket
- Valid Implement Traffic Control Plans (IMP) Ticket
- White Card
- Own a 5-Watt Radio and Traffic Control Bat
