I am looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join a prestigious accounting firm. You will be responsible for guiding clients in managing and growing their businesses, helping them make strategic decisions, and fostering positive change. Key Responsibilities:
1. Build strong, long-term relationships with clients, acting as a trusted business advisor and coach to guide them through financial and operational decisions.
2. Prepare and review statutory financial statements and tax returns, including for trusts, companies, and partnerships, ensuring clients are compliant and well-informed.
3. Provide value-added advice in areas such as tax planning, financial strategies, and business growth opportunities.
4. Collaborate closely with clients to help them resolve business challenges, improve operations, and create strategic action plans.
5. Facilitate regular business review meetings with clients to discuss performance, set goals, and track progress toward financial and business objectives.
6. Oversee and mentor junior team members, delegating tasks and providing coaching and development to ensure their professional growth.
7. Support clients with navigating changes in business regulations, Financial Management, and business operations to help them thrive in a dynamic business environment.
8. Lead or contribute to ad-hoc projects focused on improving internal processes or supporting client growth initiatives.
About You:
1. Completion of CA or CPA, or equivalent professional qualification.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in business advisory, strategy, or coaching, ideally in an accounting or consulting environment.
3. Xero certification, with strong knowledge of cloud accounting software.
4. Skilled in mentoring clients and teams and helping them realize their full potential.
5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and actionable for clients.
6. Strong strategic thinking and critical thinking skills, with the ability to provide practical business advice that delivers tangible results.
7. Ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
8. Expertise in guiding clients through change, helping them embrace new strategies and technologies to drive growth.
9. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while remaining highly organized and focused on client success.
10. A professional, confident, and approachable demeanour that inspires trust and respect.
11. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and cloud-based tools, particularly Xero or similar accounting software.
