Key Responsibilities: As the Stockroom/Warehouse Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including managing stock, leading a team of up to 25 staff, and driving performance during peak periods. You will ensure inventory accuracy, optimize stock levels, and maintain the efficiency of the warehouse. Your responsibilities will include: Leading and managing a team, particularly during peak periods, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Overseeing the movement, storage, and inventory control of up to 70,000 units, ensuring stock levels are accurate and replenished on time. Developing and implementing systems for inventory management, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across the board. Monitoring performance and driving improvements, setting clear targets and KPIs to achieve operational excellence. Training and mentoring a relatively young team, helping them grow and develop within the business. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment at all times. Skills and Experience: To succeed in this role, you should have: A minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse, stockroom, or store management. Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams of up to 25 staff members, especially during busy periods. Extensive experience in stock management, particularly handling large SKU ranges and managing high-volume inventory (70,000 units). A hands-on approach to operational challenges, with a focus on driving efficiency and improving processes. Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team. A good understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar stock control software.
