Job Description
We're looking for a proactive and customer-focused Junior IT Support Engineer to join our IT team on a 12-month fixed term contract. If you're passionate about helping people, solving technical problems, and growing your IT career, this is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of technologies.
About The Role
As a Junior IT Support Engineer, you'll be the first point of contact for technical support across the organisation. You'll provide assistance, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, manage user accounts and access, and help ensure smooth operation of our devices, applications and core IT services. You'll also assist with system checks, documentation, and occasional IT projects.
Responsibilities
Provide first-level support, logging and prioritising tickets via phone, email and in-person.
Troubleshoot common Windows/M365, hardware, and network issues, escalating when required.
Deploy, configure and maintain laptops, desktops, mobiles and tablets.
Perform basic hardware fixes and maintain accurate asset records.
Create and manage user accounts and access across AD/Entra ID and M365.
Support password resets, MFA setup and general security practices.
Assist with routine system checks, software installs and licence management.
Support meeting room technology and AV set-ups.
Maintain accurate ticketing records and update IT documentation.
Identify recurring issues and contribute to process improvements.
Assist with IT projects, office moves and general IT tasks as required.
Qualifications
1–2 years' IT support experience with solid troubleshooting skills and knowledge of Windows, M365, AD/Entra ID and basic networking.
Strong communication, customer service and organisational skills.
Experience with ticketing systems, Intune/MDM, remote support tools or ITIL practices is a bonus.
IT-related qualification (or equivalent experience); Microsoft Fundamentals or ITIL Foundation desirable.
Friendly, reliable team player who is detail-oriented and handles confidential information appropriately.
Contract Details
12-month fixed-term contract.
Full-time, 38 hours per week.
Based at Horningsea Park, with occasional travel.
Six-month probation period.
Salary based on experience.
