Randstad is proud to be partnering with a prominent government body, seeking an experienced and purpose-driven Senior Advisor, Media & Content.
Location : Footscray
Pay Rate : $75 - $90 per hour + super
Contract Length : 6 Months
The Role :
The Senior Advisor, Media & Content will act as a key storyteller for the organisation, finding and sharing good news stories about the amazing work being done. You will build and enhance the image and reputation through strategic media engagement and issues management.
Key Responsibilities :
Media Strategy & Implementation: Oversee the development and implementation of effective media strategies and plan
Media Management: Manage and implement media events, build relationships with key media stakeholders, and provide advice on managing media issues and opportunities.
Content Development: Source, prioritise, and generate high-quality content for media and other platforms, ensuring it is timely and aligned with business priorities.
Brand Champion: Promote and uphold the brand consistently across all external communication platforms.
Essential Skills and Experience :
Significant experience in a media, communications, or similar position
A strong track record implementing successful media and social media campaigns.
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive, reactive media.
Experience in Emergency or crisis management.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and well under pressure to tight deadlines.
Excellent research and story-telling abilities.
Technical Knowledge in Strategic scanning to identify emerging issues, Media and social media management, and Public affairs.
A qualification in a public relations, communications, or journalism-related discipline AND / OR demonstrated senior experience in a similar position.
Experience working in or with a government agency (preferable)
